Making regular vet appointments will allow us to identify issues with your pet that may have otherwise gone unnoticed and make sure that all your pet’s healthcare needs are being addressed. This includes nutrition, internal and external parasite control, dental prophylaxis and weight check.
How often should I take my pet to the vet?
We recommend bringing your pet to us at least once a year, even if no vaccinations are required.
Older animals and those with chronic conditions will require more frequent health checks. For example, cats and dogs over eight years old should be checked at least every six months.
Pets on long term medication will require checks at least every six months. This is so that we can monitor progress of their condition and change their medication if required or issue repeat prescriptions – this is a legal requirement.
