A vet consultation is a meeting with one of our experienced veterinarians to discuss a health concern with your pet, or an issue that you’ve noticed recently.
Usually, one of our consultations lasts around 15 minutes; however, we will spend as long as you need to talk through different conditions, treatment options or tests that are available.
The first step in any vet consultation with us is taking a detailed history from you about your pet’s health including their current medical problem. We will then follow this through with a thorough clinical examination of your pet.
After the clinical examination, a member of our veterinarian team will talk you through all the possible causes and problems that link to your pet’s symptoms. During the vet appointment we will also suggest any further diagnostic tests that may be needed to confirm our diagnosis or rule out any other possibilities.
If we can come to a diagnosis during your vet consultation without any further testing, we will then suggest available treatment options straight away; prescribing, and dispensing medication immediately. This way, your pet can be on the road to recovery as soon as possible
In cases of more serious medical conditions, hospitalisation and further testing may be needed. If this happens with you and your pet, we will provide you with detailed updates of their wellbeing to help keep your mind at ease.
